R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Judge Ernest Aliseda has received the Ethics Award
  from the Hidalgo County Bar Association; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas A&M University, Ernie Aliseda
  was a member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets and a recipient of the
  Distinguished Student Award and the Distinguished Academic
  Military Student Award; he later earned a law degree from the
  University of Houston Law Center and went on to become a judge,
  serving in both the 139th and 398th District Courts in Hidalgo
  County; and
         WHEREAS, Having answered his nation's call to duty, this
  esteemed Texan is currently a major in the United States Army Judge
  Advocate General Corps; as a supervising special assistant U.S.
  attorney, he is responsible for prosecuting all civilian criminal
  felony and misdemeanor offenses in the federal courts of Fort Bragg
  and Pope Air Force Base and others; on conclusion of his military
  service, Judge Aliseda will serve as a municipal judge for the City
  of McAllen; he also works as an attorney in private practice, and he
  was the managing partner at Torres, Cantu, and Aliseda, P.C., and
  the managing attorney at Dietz and Associates; and
         WHEREAS, Judge Aliseda has maintained professional
  affiliations with the Texas Young Lawyers Association, the Hispanic
  National Bar Association, and the State Bar of Texas, of which he
  served as director of the South Texas region; in addition, he is a
  fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and served as a member of the
  Texas Rural Legal Aid board, and as president of the Hidalgo County
  Bar Association and the Hidalgo County Young Lawyers Association;
  and
         WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, he enjoys the love and
  support of his wife, Debbie Crane Aliseda, and the couple have been
  blessed with five children, Cristina, Nicolas, Alexandra, Sofia,
  and Natali; and
         WHEREAS, A dedicated professional and a distinguished member
  of the armed forces, Judge Ernest Aliseda has garnered the lasting
  respect and admiration of his fellow citizens, and he may indeed
  reflect with great pride on his notable achievements and
  contributions; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Judge Ernest Aliseda on his receipt
  of the Ethics Award from the Hidalgo County Bar Association and
  commend him for his outstanding service to his country; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Judge Aliseda as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
