R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love
  and shared experiences, and Thomas and Francis Turner of Waco
  celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on May 8, 2008;
  and
         WHEREAS, Thomas Turner and the former Francis Sweeney were
  joined in matrimony in Hillsboro on that special day in 1943;
  through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family
  that includes two children, Terry and Tommy, as well as five
  grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and
         WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, the couple
  have made their home in Waco for 62 years; Mr. Turner is retired as
  an administrator of Baylor University and contributes to the Waco
  Tribune-Herald as a columnist, and Mrs. Turner is a dedicated
  homemaker; and
         WHEREAS, Thomas and Francis Turner have enjoyed 65 years of
  abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an
  exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
  commitment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Thomas and Francis Turner on their
  65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Turner as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
