R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
by a great and enduring love, James and Doris Dean of Waco |
|
celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on September 3, 2007; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Dean were united in matrimony on that |
|
special day in 1942; through the years, they have nurtured a |
|
fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the birth of |
|
their two children, Diane and Larry, as well as their four |
|
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Dean worked for Hillcrest Hospital for many |
|
years and retired from Certainteed Lumber Company after 40 years of |
|
service, while Mrs. Dean worked for Graham Embroidery for several |
|
years; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although much has changed in the world over the past |
|
65 years, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |
|
their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has |
|
enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |
|
and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate James and Doris Dean on their 65th |
|
wedding anniversary and on reaching this joyous milestone in their |
|
lives together and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued |
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Dean as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
