| WHEREAS, September 26, 2007, marked the 60th wedding | ||
| anniversary of Jack A. and Frances Warren Chandler of Crawford, and | ||
| this was indeed a joyous milestone in their memorable journey | ||
| together as husband and wife; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Chandler were joined in matrimony on | ||
| that special day in 1947 at a ceremony held at Harris Creek Baptist | ||
| Church; through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured | ||
| family that includes their children, Janice Kirkland and her | ||
| husband, Alan, and Archie Chandler, and their six grandchildren, | ||
| Michael and his wife, Brooke, Jarod, Jessica and her husband, | ||
| Jason, Justin, Jacob, and Jill; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Chandler is retired from Southwestern Bell and | ||
| Mrs. Chandler is retired from Smead Manufacturing, and both have | ||
| long been involved in running their farm and ranch; in addition to | ||
| meeting their work and family responsibilities, they are valued | ||
| members of Shiloh Baptist Church; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The more than 60 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. | ||
| Chandler have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love | ||
| and commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all | ||
| who know them; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Jack and Frances Chandler on their | ||
| 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Chandler as an expression of high regard | ||
| by the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
