R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, September 26, 2007, marked the 60th wedding |
|
anniversary of Jack A. and Frances Warren Chandler of Crawford, and |
|
this was indeed a joyous milestone in their memorable journey |
|
together as husband and wife; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Chandler were joined in matrimony on |
|
that special day in 1947 at a ceremony held at Harris Creek Baptist |
|
Church; through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured |
|
family that includes their children, Janice Kirkland and her |
|
husband, Alan, and Archie Chandler, and their six grandchildren, |
|
Michael and his wife, Brooke, Jarod, Jessica and her husband, |
|
Jason, Justin, Jacob, and Jill; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Chandler is retired from Southwestern Bell and |
|
Mrs. Chandler is retired from Smead Manufacturing, and both have |
|
long been involved in running their farm and ranch; in addition to |
|
meeting their work and family responsibilities, they are valued |
|
members of Shiloh Baptist Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, The more than 60 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. |
|
Chandler have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love |
|
and commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all |
|
who know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jack and Frances Chandler on their |
|
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Chandler as an expression of high regard |
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
