R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Kevin James Needles of Boy Scouts of America Venture |
|
|
Crew 17 in San Antonio has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and |
|
|
this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|
|
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|
|
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|
|
criteria, Mr. Needles earned the requisite 21 merit badges, |
|
|
including those that require expertise in such diverse areas as |
|
|
electricity, medicine, and photography, and successfully completed |
|
|
an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Jeffrey and Susan Joanne Needles, this |
|
|
fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability |
|
|
throughout his scouting career, winning the respect and admiration |
|
|
of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that |
|
|
scouting offers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, His dedication to excellence and perseverance in the |
|
|
pursuit of his goals have proven Eagle Scout Needles worthy to stand |
|
|
among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a |
|
|
job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kevin James Needles on achieving |
|
|
the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Needles as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
