R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Kevin James Needles of Boy Scouts of America Venture
  Crew 17 in San Antonio has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and
  this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and
         WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
  honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the
  scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding
  criteria, Mr. Needles earned the requisite 21 merit badges,
  including those that require expertise in such diverse areas as
  electricity, medicine, and photography, and successfully completed
  an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his community; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Jeffrey and Susan Joanne Needles, this
  fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability
  throughout his scouting career, winning the respect and admiration
  of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that
  scouting offers; and
         WHEREAS, His dedication to excellence and perseverance in the
  pursuit of his goals have proven Eagle Scout Needles worthy to stand
  among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a
  job well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Kevin James Needles on achieving
  the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for
  continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Needles as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
