R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Billy and Mary Lou Peterson of |
|
|
Robinson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 12, |
|
|
2008; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Billy Peterson and the former Mary Lou Pursley were |
|
|
united in matrimony in Waco in 1948; through the years, they have |
|
|
nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with |
|
|
the addition of five children, Gene, Linda, Donna, Julie, and |
|
|
James, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six |
|
|
decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |
|
|
their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has |
|
|
enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |
|
|
and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Billy and Mary Lou Peterson on |
|
|
their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Peterson as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
