R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Don and Jeanette Markum of Waco celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on April 25, 2008, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Markum exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
on that special day in 1958, and over the course of their marriage, |
|
|
they have found in one another a loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, |
|
|
Mr. and Mrs. Markum count among their blessings a fine family that |
|
|
includes two children, Dean and Doug, and three grandchildren, with |
|
|
whom they share the many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Don and Jeanette Markum have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Don and Jeanette Markum on reaching |
|
|
the joyous milestone of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend |
|
|
to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Markum as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
