R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love
  and shared experiences, and Carl and Ella Buhl of Waco celebrated
  this joyous milestone in their marriage on February 1, 2008; and
         WHEREAS, Pastor Carl L. Buhl and the former Ella Toliver were
  joined in matrimony in San Antonio in 1958; through the years, they
  have been blessed with a treasured family that includes 7 children,
  Carl and his wife, Gerri, Bernard and his wife, Sheila, Charlotte
  and her husband, Michael, Wanda and her husband, Eddie, Jackie,
  Samuel and his wife, Aterna, and Remethia, as well as 19
  grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Buhl has
  served for 23 years as pastor at Zion Hill Baptist Church, and Mrs.
  Buhl works as a data processor for Ahlers & Associates; in addition
  to meeting career and family responsibilities, Mrs. Buhl is
  president of the Deacons and Ministers Wives at Zion Hill, and Mr.
  Buhl serves as president of the Willow Grove District Association
  congress; and
         WHEREAS, Pastor and Mrs. Buhl have enjoyed five decades of
  abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an
  exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
  commitment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Carl and Ella Buhl on their 50th
  wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Buhl as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
