R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, William and Sondra Harper of |
|
|
Bruceville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 6, |
|
|
2008; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, William Ray Harper and the former Sondra Raborn were |
|
|
united in matrimony at Morrow Avenue Assembly of God in Waco in |
|
|
1958; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage |
|
|
that has been made even richer with the addition of their children, |
|
|
Craig Harper and his wife, Paula, and Robin Daniel and her husband, |
|
|
Kevin, and two grandchildren, Stephen and Jennifer; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Harper retired as director of information and |
|
|
communication services for the Texas Farm Bureau, and Mrs. Harper |
|
|
is a homemaker; she taught Sunday school for 35 years and was a |
|
|
member of the church choir; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate William and Sondra Harper on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Harper as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
