R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, James and Jean Vorderkunz of Robinson celebrated
  their 50th wedding anniversary on February 7, 2009, and they may
  indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have
  shared; and
         WHEREAS, James Vorderkunz and the former Jean Goodwin
  exchanged the vows of matrimony at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waco
  on that special day in 1959, and over the course of their marriage,
  they have found in each other a loving life partner; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Vorderkunz, who are charter members of
  the Peace Lutheran Church of Hewitt, count among their blessings a
  fine family that includes their children, Glyn Vorderkunz and his
  wife, Debra, Lisa Houle and her husband, Steve, and Mike Vorderkunz
  and his wife, Robin, as well as seven grandchildren, Ryan, Katelyn,
  Katherine, Christopher, Kristin, Michael, and Carolyn, and a
  great-grandson, Aiden, with whom they share the many special
  occasions of life; and
         WHEREAS, For half a century, James and Jean Vorderkunz have
  brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
  is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate James and Jean Vorderkunz on
  reaching the noteworthy milestone of their golden wedding
  anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued
  happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Vorderkunz as an expression of high regard
  by the Texas House of Representatives.
