R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, James and Jean Vorderkunz of Robinson celebrated |
|
|
their 50th wedding anniversary on February 7, 2009, and they may |
|
|
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have |
|
|
shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, James Vorderkunz and the former Jean Goodwin |
|
|
exchanged the vows of matrimony at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waco |
|
|
on that special day in 1959, and over the course of their marriage, |
|
|
they have found in each other a loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Vorderkunz, who are charter members of |
|
|
the Peace Lutheran Church of Hewitt, count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their children, Glyn Vorderkunz and his |
|
|
wife, Debra, Lisa Houle and her husband, Steve, and Mike Vorderkunz |
|
|
and his wife, Robin, as well as seven grandchildren, Ryan, Katelyn, |
|
|
Katherine, Christopher, Kristin, Michael, and Carolyn, and a |
|
|
great-grandson, Aiden, with whom they share the many special |
|
|
occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, James and Jean Vorderkunz have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate James and Jean Vorderkunz on |
|
|
reaching the noteworthy milestone of their golden wedding |
|
|
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Vorderkunz as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
