R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Carl and Dee Rucker of Waco celebrated their 50th |
|
|
wedding anniversary on August 9, 2008, and they may indeed reflect |
|
|
with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Carl Rucker and the former Dee Boyd exchanged the |
|
|
vows of matrimony in Erie, Pennsylvania, on that memorable day in |
|
|
1958, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each |
|
|
other a devoted life partner; the couple both work as corporate |
|
|
chaplains with Marketplace Chaplains USA and enjoy membership at |
|
|
First United Methodist Church in Waco; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Ruckers count among their blessings a fine |
|
|
family that includes their two children, David and Debbie, as well |
|
|
as six grandchildren, Lauren, Ethan, Andrew, Jonathan, Bethany, and |
|
|
Jessica, with whom they share the many special occasions of life; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For more than half a century, Carl and Dee Rucker |
|
|
have brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, |
|
|
and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Carl and Dee Rucker on their golden |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the Ruckers as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
