R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Lawrence and Evelyn Hlavaty of West |
|
|
celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on June 22, 2008; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Lawrence Hlavaty and the former Evelyn Mashek were |
|
|
united in matrimony at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church |
|
|
in Abbott in 1953; through the years, they have nurtured a |
|
|
fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the |
|
|
addition of a daughter, Carol Baker, her husband, Jeff, and a |
|
|
grandson, Derek; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Hlavaty worked for several years for General |
|
|
Tire and is retired; Mrs. Hlavaty is retired from Texas Utilities; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lawrence and Evelyn Hlavaty on |
|
|
their 55th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hlavaty as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
