R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life came to an end with the |
|
death of Ethelee Huey of Waco, who passed away on January 22, 2009, |
|
at the age of 76; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on June 5, 1932, to Barney and Lois Weems in |
|
Sweetwater, the former Lee Weems was a beloved wife, mother, and |
|
grandmother who enjoyed a rewarding and happy marriage of over 50 |
|
years with her husband, Gene Huey, and together they raised a family |
|
that grew to include three children, Leesa, Stuart, and Terry, as |
|
well as six grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; and |
|
WHEREAS, She worked for Bennett and Baucom Insurance while in |
|
Sweetwater and retired from Bailey Insurance and Financial Services |
|
after nearly 22 years of service; a valued member of Brazos Meadows |
|
Baptist Church, she was active in the women's ministry, the |
|
children's ministry, and several other devotional efforts; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although she is deeply missed, Lee Huey leaves her |
|
loved ones with countless memories of good times spent in her |
|
company, and she will always occupy a special place in the hearts of |
|
those who held her dear; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Ethelee Huey and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
husband, Gene Huey; to her children, Leesa Stephens and her |
|
husband, Mike, Stuart Huey and his wife, Susan, and Terry Huey and |
|
his wife, Joan; to her grandchildren, Matthew and Scott Stephens, |
|
Jessica and Amanda Huey, and Mattison and Syndie Huey; to her |
|
great-granddaughter, Ainsley Leggett; to her sister, Joan Rohr, and |
|
her husband, Larry; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ethelee |
|
Huey. |
