R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Melanie Decker of Waco has been named the Veterans |
|
|
of Foreign Wars Post 6008 Teacher of the Year for 2008-2009, and her |
|
|
receipt of this notable accolade provides a fitting opportunity to |
|
|
honor her; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Decker received the award from VFW Post 6008 at a |
|
|
banquet held on December 9, 2008; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An English teacher at Midway High School in Waco, |
|
|
Ms. Decker has inspired and energized her students, and she has |
|
|
earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues with her |
|
|
dedication to her profession and her commitment to excellence; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The young people of the Lone Star State benefit |
|
|
greatly from the skill, knowledge, and enthusiasm of great |
|
|
teachers, and with this award, Melanie Decker has gained |
|
|
well-deserved recognition for her accomplishments; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Melanie Decker on being named VFW |
|
|
Post 6008 Teacher of the Year for 2008-2009 and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Decker as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
