R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
by a great and enduring love, Ray and Irene Boman of Robinson |
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 19, 2008; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Boman met while both were serving in the |
|
U.S. Navy, and they were united in matrimony on that special day in |
|
1958; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage |
|
that has been made even richer with the addition of their children, |
|
Julie and Rusty Wilbanks, Alan Boman, and Teresa and Christian |
|
Yehle, and six grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica, Jenna, Erin, Bryce, |
|
and Emma; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Boman retired as chief hospital corpsman in the |
|
U.S. Navy after 22 years of service and went on to work as a safety |
|
representative with an offshore drilling company until 2002; Mrs. |
|
Boman is a housewife; and |
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges with grace and optimism; |
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ray and Irene Boman on the joyous |
|
milestone of their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Boman as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
