R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
  by a great and enduring love, Ray and Irene Boman of Robinson
  celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 19, 2008; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Boman met while both were serving in the
  U.S. Navy, and they were united in matrimony on that special day in
  1958; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage
  that has been made even richer with the addition of their children,
  Julie and Rusty Wilbanks, Alan Boman, and Teresa and Christian
  Yehle, and six grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica, Jenna, Erin, Bryce,
  and Emma; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Boman retired as chief hospital corpsman in the
  U.S. Navy after 22 years of service and went on to work as a safety
  representative with an offshore drilling company until 2002; Mrs.
  Boman is a housewife; and
         WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
  half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
  in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love
  has enabled them to meet life's challenges with grace and optimism;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Ray and Irene Boman on the joyous
  milestone of their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them
  sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Boman as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
