R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Rich Tillman of Brazoria County has earned the
  Community Builder Award from St. John's Masonic Lodge of West
  Columbia; and
         WHEREAS, Created by the Grand Lodge of Texas in 1991, the
  Community Builder Award recognizes non-Masons who have
  distinguished themselves through exceptional service to the
  community; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Tillman has served as Marine Agent with the
  Texas AgriLife Extension Service for more than a quarter-century,
  including 13 years in Aransas and San Patricio Counties and 13 years
  in Brazoria County; and
         WHEREAS, Dedicated to introducing children to the wonders of
  nature and the natural resources that abound on the Gulf Coast, Mr.
  Tillman has made a positive difference in thousands of young lives;
  in addition to his work with the Something's Fishy program, which
  teaches fourth graders about marine life, he hosts trips to the
  Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge for more than 3,000 students each
  year through a program with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Tillman has shared his time with local 4-H
  programs, and he has contributed to the success of many of its
  participants; his efforts have also inspired many adults to
  volunteer their services, and he has helped train more than 100
  Texas Master Naturalist Volunteers in Brazoria County through a
  program offered by Texas A&M University and the Texas Parks and
  Wildlife Department; and
         WHEREAS, Those individuals who step forward to share their
  talents with others are indeed deserving of our profound admiration
  and gratitude, and it is a pleasure to honor Rich Tillman, who has
  enriched the lives of countless individuals with his legacy of
  community involvement; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Rich Tillman on earning the
  Community Builder Award from St. John's Masonic Lodge and extend to
  him sincere best wishes for continued success with his important
  work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Tillman as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
