R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Magen Paige Norwood of Girl Scouts of San Jacinto |
|
|
has attained the Gold Award, the highest commendation in Girl |
|
|
Scouting; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, To achieve this distinction, a young woman must meet |
|
|
requirements that promote community service, personal growth, |
|
|
positive values, and leadership skills; in addition, she must plan |
|
|
and implement a special Girl Scout Gold Award project of at least 50 |
|
|
work hours that meets a need in her community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Norwood has proven herself to be an exemplary |
|
|
and productive member of the Girl Scouts and her community, and she |
|
|
may reflect with great pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Magen Paige Norwood on her receipt |
|
|
of the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her best wishes for the |
|
|
coming years; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Norwood as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
