R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Gabrielle Phillips was recognized for her |
|
|
outstanding academic achievements at the Awards of Excellence |
|
|
Dinner hosted by the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Education Foundation on |
|
|
March 12, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This annual event pays tribute to exemplary high |
|
|
school seniors in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School |
|
|
District and reflects the strong support that the community |
|
|
provides to public education; local business and civic leaders |
|
|
sponsor each of the honorees, and each student, in turn, |
|
|
acknowledges a faculty mentor who has been instrumental in the |
|
|
student's endeavors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A member of the Class of 2009 at L. D. Bell High |
|
|
School, Gabrielle Phillips received an Award of Excellence that |
|
|
acknowledged her work in theatre arts, and she was presented with a |
|
|
medal that will serve as an enduring symbol of her accomplishments; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By demonstrating admirable determination and by |
|
|
taking full advantage of the caring support provided by her |
|
|
school's educators, Gabrielle Phillips has built a strong |
|
|
foundation for future success, and she may take justifiable pride |
|
|
in a job well done as she looks forward to the challenges and |
|
|
opportunities that lie ahead; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gabrielle Phillips on her receipt |
|
|
of a 2009 Award of Excellence from the Hurst-Euless-Bedford |
|
|
Education Foundation and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued achievement; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Phillips as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
