R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Clarissa Ramon of San Antonio was selected to |
|
|
participate in the 2009 Moreno/Rangel Legislative Leadership |
|
|
Program, and during the 81st Legislative Session, she has ably |
|
|
served her fellow Texans as an aide in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Roberto Alonzo; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Mexican American Legislative |
|
|
Leadership Foundation, the program offers outstanding |
|
|
undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to serve as |
|
|
full-time policy interns in the offices of members of the Mexican |
|
|
American Legislative Caucus and gain experience working with the |
|
|
Texas Legislature; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A Presidential Scholar and graduate of St. Mary's |
|
|
University, Ms. Ramon served as an intern for the San Antonio |
|
|
District Attorney's Office and studied abroad in Austria and Mexico |
|
|
while working toward her bachelor's degree; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of her tenure at the State Capitol, |
|
|
she has been of great assistance to Representative Alonzo's office, |
|
|
while acquiring knowledge of issues facing citizens of the Lone |
|
|
Star State; she has performed her duties as a legislative aide with |
|
|
skill, perseverance, and dedication, and she may indeed look |
|
|
forward to a rewarding future; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Clarissa Ramon as a participant in the |
|
|
2009 Moreno/Rangel Legislative Leadership Program and commend her |
|
|
for her notable contributions to the legislative process; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Ramon as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
