R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, April 30, 2009, marked the golden wedding |
|
|
anniversary of Al and Dee Stover of Emory, and this joyous event |
|
|
provides a fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable |
|
|
journey together as husband and wife; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Stover were joined in matrimony in |
|
|
1959, at a ceremony held in Coal Fork, West Virginia; through the |
|
|
years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes |
|
|
three children, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, they moved to |
|
|
Emory in 1987, following a visit to friends that resulted in an |
|
|
instant love of the city; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 50 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Stover |
|
|
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|
|
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|
|
know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Al and Dee Stover on their 50th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Stover as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
