R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Jacob Allen Hammack of Boy Scouts of America Troop
  No. 395 in Austin has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this
  accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and
         WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
  honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the
  scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding
  criteria, Mr. Hammack earned the requisite 21 merit badges and
  successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his
  community, constructing three sets of bleachers behind a baseball
  field at Marbridge Ranch, a residential care and recreation
  facility for adults with cognitive challenges; and
         WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding
  leadership ability throughout his scouting career, winning the
  respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the
  highest rank that scouting offers; he is a member of Oak Hill United
  Methodist Church and a third-generation Eagle Scout; and
         WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Hammack's dedication to excellence and
  his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy
  to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with
  pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That Jacob Allen Hammack be congratulated on
  achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and that he be extended sincere
  best wishes for continued success and happiness.
