R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Jacob Allen Hammack of Boy Scouts of America Troop |
|
No. 395 in Austin has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this |
|
accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|
criteria, Mr. Hammack earned the requisite 21 merit badges and |
|
successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his |
|
community, constructing three sets of bleachers behind a baseball |
|
field at Marbridge Ranch, a residential care and recreation |
|
facility for adults with cognitive challenges; and |
|
WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding |
|
leadership ability throughout his scouting career, winning the |
|
respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the |
|
highest rank that scouting offers; he is a member of Oak Hill United |
|
Methodist Church and a third-generation Eagle Scout; and |
|
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Hammack's dedication to excellence and |
|
his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy |
|
to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with |
|
pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That Jacob Allen Hammack be congratulated on |
|
achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and that he be extended sincere |
|
best wishes for continued success and happiness. |
