H.R. No. 2113
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Friends and family were greatly saddened by the loss
  of Rogelio M. Barba of Eagle Pass, who passed away on April 9, 2009,
  at the age of 89; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Barba was born on December 2, 1919, to Miguel and
  Francisca Barba and grew up in a family of nine children; he
  answered his nation's call to duty with service in France and the
  Rhineland during World War II; and
         WHEREAS, Following the war, Mr. Barba entered into a career
  in law enforcement with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission,
  working there for more than three decades; a former resident of
  Houston, he later moved to Eagle Pass, where he had previously spent
  vacations with his family; and
         WHEREAS, Rogelio Barba was a kind and generous man who
  enjoyed sharing his knowledge and wisdom with his many nieces and
  nephews, teaching them how to swim, play ball, and drive a car;
  although he will be deeply missed, he leaves his loved ones with
  countless fond memories of the happy times they spent in his
  company; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Rogelio M. Barba and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his sister,
  Hortencia Barba; to his nieces and nephews; and to his other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rogelio
  Barba.
