R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Clay Allen Craig of
  Clarksville, Tennessee, was killed on April 29, 2008, while serving
  in Iraq, and he leaves behind a loving family and many friends; and
         WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Clay Craig was born
  in Dallas and grew up in Mount Pleasant; respectful and
  responsible, he worked at a local movie theater while attending
  school, and it was there that he met his beloved wife, Cynthia, with
  whom he had a daughter, Izabel; and
         WHEREAS, Staff Sergeant Craig joined the army after
  graduating from John Horn High School in 2003; he planned to serve
  his country for more than a decade, hoping to retire at 31 to pursue
  a teaching career; during his military tenure, he was assigned to
  the 1st Squadron, 75th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team of
  the 101st Airborne Division; he was killed while serving his third
  tour of duty in Iraq; and
         WHEREAS, Constant in his desire to help others, Clay Craig
  embodied the qualities of selflessness and valor, and the loved
  ones of this fine young man will forever carry him close in their
  hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Staff Sergeant Clay
  Allen Craig and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his
  family: to his wife, Cynthia Craig; to his daughter, Izabel Craig;
  to his mother, Deborah Redfearn; to his father, Roger Craig; to his
  sisters and brothers; and to his other relatives and many friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of U.S. Army
  Staff Sergeant Clay Allen Craig.
