R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Gloria Pizana Caceres has served with distinction in
  the office of State Representative Solomon Ortiz, Jr., since his
  election in 2006; and
         WHEREAS, Active in the Corpus Christi community, Ms. Caceres
  has supported the March of Dimes and the American Heart
  Association, and she has donated her time and efforts to worthwhile
  organizations that promote research for cures and strive to prevent
  diabetes and cancer; and
         WHEREAS, This notable Texan has been involved in politics for
  more than 16 years, serving as a precinct chair, as president of
  Texas Democratic Women, and as an elections administrator; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Caceres is a valued and trusted staff member in
  the office of Representative Ortiz, and her hard work and
  dedication have helped to ensure its efficient functioning over the
  course of the legislative session; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Gloria Pizana Caceres for her
  contributions and accomplishments as chief of staff in the office
  of Representative Solomon Ortiz, Jr., and extend to her best wishes
  for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Caceres as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
