R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Gina Dylla of Sandra Day O'Connor High School in
  Helotes has been named the 2009 Girls Soccer Coach of the Year by
  the San Antonio Express-News; and
         WHEREAS, In four years as a head coach, Coach Dylla has
  compiled an impressive record of 87 wins, 18 losses, and 4 draws;
  under her inspired leadership, the O'Connor Panthers claimed their
  first District 28-5A championship in six years and advanced to the
  third round of the playoffs for only the fourth time in school
  history; and
         WHEREAS, After gaining experience at Southwest and Burbank
  High Schools, Coach Dylla made immediate and sweeping changes to
  the Panthers team when she became the O'Connor coach at the
  beginning of the 2008-2009 season, moving players to different
  positions from those they had previously played; at the end of the
  season, her rearranged squad held a record of 17 wins and 4 draws
  with only 3 losses, including a 20-game streak without a loss; and
         WHEREAS, Exceptional coaches inspire athletes to perform at
  the peak of their abilities, and Gina Dylla's commitment to
  excellence indeed makes her a most deserving recipient of this
  award; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Gina Dylla on being named 2009
  Girls Soccer Coach of the Year by the San Antonio Express-News and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Coach Dylla as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
