R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |
|
|
recognize the Aubrey Independent School District for the vital role |
|
|
it has played in the education of many young Texans; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Located in Denton County, Aubrey ISD serves a small |
|
|
community in North Central Texas and is known as a "great place to |
|
|
learn"; it features Brackett and Monaco Elementary Schools, Aubrey |
|
|
Middle School, and Aubrey High School, and its mascot is the |
|
|
chaparral; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A progressive school district that focuses on |
|
|
student achievement, Aubrey ISD has helped its students excel in |
|
|
the areas of athletics, artistic and cultural endeavors, |
|
|
agriculture, and civic service, as well as academics, and more than |
|
|
half of its pupils participate in state competitions each year; |
|
|
moreover, the district's efforts are enhanced by the support and |
|
|
dedication of area citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Aubrey ISD is preparing its students for the |
|
|
challenges and opportunities of the future, and its efforts are |
|
|
contributing to the greater good of the Lone Star State; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor the Aubrey Independent School District and |
|
|
extend to its faculty, staff, and students sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Aubrey ISD as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
