R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cindy Stocking was selected as the 2009 Teacher of |
|
|
the Year by the Austin Independent School District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Abilene Christian University, Ms. |
|
|
Stocking joined the faculty of Dawson Elementary School in 2005, |
|
|
and she teaches special education for first and second grade |
|
|
students; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Stocking has demonstrated an unwavering |
|
|
commitment to her students' well-being and a deep understanding of |
|
|
the challenges they confront; she sets high standards for learning |
|
|
and refuses to accept the words "I can't"; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With her inexhaustible resourcefulness and |
|
|
creativity, Cindy Stocking is making an immeasurable contribution |
|
|
to the youth in her program and to their prospects for a rewarding |
|
|
and fulfilling future; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Cindy Stocking on being named the |
|
|
2009 Teacher of the Year by the Austin Independent School District |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success with her |
|
|
important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Stocking as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
