R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |
|
|
recognize Lacy Baron of El Paso for her outstanding work as a |
|
|
legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Chente |
|
|
Quintanilla; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Baron has had an |
|
|
opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing the citizens of the Lone Star State, and she has |
|
|
brought a high level of enthusiasm, commitment, and care to every |
|
|
task; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Larry and Melinda Baron, Ms. Baron |
|
|
is a graduate of El Paso High School, where she was involved in the |
|
|
DECA Club, marching band, student council, and National Honor |
|
|
Society; in addition, she has actively served her community as a |
|
|
volunteer at the Children's Hospital at Providence Memorial |
|
|
Hospital, the Build a Park Foundation, and various nursing homes; |
|
|
this fine young Texan is currently pursuing a degree in |
|
|
communication at The University of Texas at Austin, and she is a |
|
|
participant in the Longhorn Scholars program; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With skill, perseverance, and dedication, Ms. Baron |
|
|
has made invaluable contributions to the State of Texas during the |
|
|
current session, and she may indeed look forward to a rewarding |
|
|
future; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Lacy Baron for her service as a |
|
|
legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Chente |
|
|
Quintanilla and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Baron as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
