R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |
|
|
recognize Moctezuma Zuniga, Jr., of McAllen for his outstanding |
|
|
work as a legislative assistant in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Chente Quintanilla; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, "Monte" Zuniga has had an |
|
|
opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing the citizens of the Lone Star State, and he has |
|
|
brought a high level of enthusiasm, commitment, and care to every |
|
|
task; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Moctezuma and Nelda Zuniga, Mr. Zuniga |
|
|
graduated from James "Nikki" Rowe High School, and he went on to |
|
|
attend The University of Texas--Pan American and to study abroad at |
|
|
the Menendez Pelayo International University in Sevilla, Spain; he |
|
|
later transferred to St. Edward's University in Austin and was a |
|
|
member of the pre-law chapter of Phi Alpha Delta fraternity, and he |
|
|
is receiving a bachelor's degree in political science and |
|
|
international relations in 2009; this fine young Texan also |
|
|
completed an internship with the Hidalgo County Office of the |
|
|
Criminal District Attorney in 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With skill, perseverance, and dedication, Mr. |
|
|
Zuniga has made invaluable contributions to the State of Texas |
|
|
during the current session, and he may indeed look forward to a |
|
|
rewarding future; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Moctezuma Zuniga, Jr., for his service |
|
|
as a legislative assistant in the office of State Representative |
|
|
Chente Quintanilla and congratulate him on his graduation from St. |
|
|
Edward's University; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Zuniga as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
