R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |
|
|
recognize Olivia Provencio-Johnson of Weslaco for her outstanding |
|
|
work as a legislative assistant in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Chente Quintanilla; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Provencio-Johnson has |
|
|
had an opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and |
|
|
the issues facing the citizens of the Lone Star State, and she has |
|
|
brought a high level of enthusiasm, commitment, and care to every |
|
|
task; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Provencio-Johnson is a graduate of El Paso High |
|
|
School, where she was in the National Honor Society, the student |
|
|
council, and the marching and concert bands; she was also active in |
|
|
cross-country and track, as well as theater, and she played Dorothy |
|
|
in The Wizard of Oz; this fine young Texan is currently studying |
|
|
English and art at The University of Texas at Austin, and she is a |
|
|
participant in the Longhorn Scholars program and in Texas Cycling; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With skill, perseverance, and dedication, Ms. |
|
|
Provencio-Johnson has made invaluable contributions to the State of |
|
|
Texas during the current session, and she may indeed look forward to |
|
|
a rewarding future; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Olivia Provencio-Johnson for her |
|
|
service as a legislative assistant in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Chente Quintanilla and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Provencio-Johnson as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
