R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Al Forsythe was reelected to the Mesquite City
  Council on May 9, 2009; and
         WHEREAS, A resident of Mesquite for nearly five decades, Mr.
  Forsythe was first elected to the city council in 2008; he
  previously contributed to the community as a member of the planning
  and zoning commission and as a member of the parks and recreation
  advisory board; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Forsythe brings to his post extensive
  professional experience as a retired employee of Texas Instruments,
  and in his role with the city council, he strives to provide careful
  oversight of future development and to further the city's
  commitment to a high level of public safety; and
         WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of
  life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts
  of Mr. Forsythe are indeed helping to make Mesquite an even better
  place in which to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Al Forsythe on his reelection to
  the Mesquite City Council and extend to him sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Forsythe as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
