R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Al Forsythe was reelected to the Mesquite City |
|
|
Council on May 9, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A resident of Mesquite for nearly five decades, Mr. |
|
|
Forsythe was first elected to the city council in 2008; he |
|
|
previously contributed to the community as a member of the planning |
|
|
and zoning commission and as a member of the parks and recreation |
|
|
advisory board; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Forsythe brings to his post extensive |
|
|
professional experience as a retired employee of Texas Instruments, |
|
|
and in his role with the city council, he strives to provide careful |
|
|
oversight of future development and to further the city's |
|
|
commitment to a high level of public safety; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of |
|
|
life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts |
|
|
of Mr. Forsythe are indeed helping to make Mesquite an even better |
|
|
place in which to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Al Forsythe on his reelection to |
|
|
the Mesquite City Council and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Forsythe as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
