R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Nurturing a deep bond of love that has spanned five |
|
decades, Donald and Bonnie Bales of El Campo celebrated their 50th |
|
wedding anniversary on March 20, 2009; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bales exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
at Faith Memorial Baptist Church in Houston on that memorable day in |
|
1959, and throughout the course of their marriage, they have found |
|
great pleasure in sharing their life with one another; Mr. Bales is |
|
retired from NewFirst National Bank of El Campo, while Mrs. Bales |
|
was employed by New ICM El Campo before she retired; still living |
|
life to the fullest, the couple enjoy travelling in their RV and |
|
attending NASCAR events; and |
|
WHEREAS, Beloved parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bales |
|
count among their blessings a fine family that includes two |
|
children, Larry Bales and his partner, Russell Donaldson, and |
|
Sherri Morgan and her husband, James, as well as two |
|
granddaughters, Tiffany DeLuna and Brooke Molloy, and four |
|
great-grandchildren, Destiny, Daniel, Danyelle, and J. J., with |
|
whom they treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; and |
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past half-century, Donald and |
|
Bonnie Bales may reflect with joy on the rewarding marriage they |
|
have built together and know that the strength of their love and |
|
commitment ensures that many more joyful times await them; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Donald and Bonnie Bales on their |
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bales as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
