R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Nurturing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
  decades, Donald and Bonnie Bales of El Campo celebrated their 50th
  wedding anniversary on March 20, 2009; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bales exchanged the vows of matrimony
  at Faith Memorial Baptist Church in Houston on that memorable day in
  1959, and throughout the course of their marriage, they have found
  great pleasure in sharing their life with one another; Mr. Bales is
  retired from NewFirst National Bank of El Campo, while Mrs. Bales
  was employed by New ICM El Campo before she retired; still living
  life to the fullest, the couple enjoy travelling in their RV and
  attending NASCAR events; and
         WHEREAS, Beloved parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bales
  count among their blessings a fine family that includes two
  children, Larry Bales and his partner, Russell Donaldson, and
  Sherri Morgan and her husband, James, as well as two
  granddaughters, Tiffany DeLuna and Brooke Molloy, and four
  great-grandchildren, Destiny, Daniel, Danyelle, and J. J., with
  whom they treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; and
         WHEREAS, Looking back over the past half-century, Donald and
  Bonnie Bales may reflect with joy on the rewarding marriage they
  have built together and know that the strength of their love and
  commitment ensures that many more joyful times await them; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Donald and Bonnie Bales on their
  golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
  for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bales as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
