R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  death of Jo Ann Cain of Silsbee, who passed away on March 30, 2009,
  at the age of 75; and
         WHEREAS, Born on February 8, 1934, to Charles and Mary Etna
  Chriswell in Beaumont, the former Jo Ann Chriswell graduated from
  French High School in 1951 and married her childhood sweetheart,
  Cecil Cain, six years later; the couple enjoyed a rewarding
  marriage that extended for more than a half-century and raised a
  loving family that includes two children, Cindy and Ed, as well as
  three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Cain worked for Allen Peavey Lumber Company in
  Kountz for 12 years and served 11 years as the health inspector for
  Hardin County; she was an active member of the First United
  Methodist Church of Silsbee and an inaugural volunteer at the
  Silsbee Christian Care Center; and
         WHEREAS, A devoted wife, mother, and "Maw-Maw" to her
  grandchildren and great-grandchild, Jo Ann Cain will be deeply
  missed, but she leaves her loved ones with countless fond memories
  of the happy times they spent in her company; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jo Ann Cain and extend
  sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband, Cecil
  Cain; to her children, Cindy Fredrick and her husband, Brian, and Ed
  Cain and his wife, Sonia; to her grandchildren, Brandon Crow and his
  wife, Kassie, and Derrick and Dillon Cain; to her
  great-granddaughter, Allie Crow; to her twin sister, Mary Ann
  Jones; to her brother, Charles Chriswell; to her sister, Peggy
  Peacock; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jo Ann
  Cain.
