R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Ron Natinsky was elected to his third term on the |
|
Dallas City Council on May 9, 2009; and |
|
WHEREAS, A resident of Dallas for nearly 50 years and a |
|
councilman since 2005, Mr. Natinsky has served as chair of the |
|
economic development committee and as a member of the public |
|
safety, transportation and environment, and audit and finance |
|
committees; moreover, he has contributed to the National League of |
|
Cities, the Texas Municipal League, and the Regional Transportation |
|
Council, which he serves as board secretary; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Natinsky has traveled to China five times in an |
|
effort to build an economic development relationship between that |
|
country and Dallas, and he further distinguished himself through |
|
his participation in the 2006 budget deliberations, which resulted |
|
in the city's first tax rate reduction in eight years; and |
|
WHEREAS, Retired from nearly four decades as a successful |
|
entrepreneur, Mr. Natinsky founded seven businesses during the |
|
course of his career; he is devoted to his role as a city council |
|
member, often working more than 50 hours per week, and he is |
|
supported in his endeavors by his wife, Nancy; and |
|
WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of |
|
life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and Mr. |
|
Natinsky is indeed helping to make Dallas a better place in which to |
|
live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor Ron Natinsky for his dedicated service as |
|
a member of the Dallas City Council and extend to him sincere best |
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Natinsky as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
