R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Idaena Wade has been named the 2008-2009 Teacher of |
|
|
the Year at Tina E. Whidby Elementary-Montessori School in Houston; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of the University of North Texas with a |
|
|
degree in business administration, Ms. Wade was inspired to pursue |
|
|
a career in education by her parents, who are both teachers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding educator teaches third grade at |
|
|
Whidby Elementary School, where she successfully fosters |
|
|
enthusiasm for learning among her students by providing a |
|
|
stimulating and enjoyable classroom environment; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Wade is also active in her community as a member |
|
|
of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, Top Ladies of Distinction, and the |
|
|
Riceville Mt. Olive Baptist Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, There is no more important work than the education |
|
|
of our children, and for 22 years Idaena Wade has made a positive |
|
|
and lasting contribution to her community by dedicating herself to |
|
|
that worthy goal; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Idaena Wade for being named the |
|
|
2008-2009 Teacher of the Year by Whidby Elementary School and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Wade as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
