R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
by a great and enduring love, Myra and William R. Casbeer of Waco |
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 25, 2007; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Casbeer were united in matrimony in |
|
North Dakota on that special day in 1957; through the years, they |
|
have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer |
|
with the addition of their children, Richard Casbeer and his wife, |
|
Pam, and Ruth Watson and her husband, Bill, and their two |
|
grandchildren, Jessica and Chris; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Casbeer answered his nation's call to duty with |
|
service in the U.S. Army and retired as director of transportation |
|
planning and development at the Texas Department of Transportation |
|
after 39 years; Mrs. Casbeer is a retired nurse, and they are |
|
longtime members of First Presbyterian Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate William R. and Myra Casbeer on the |
|
joyous milestone of their golden wedding anniversary and extend to |
|
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Casbeer as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
