R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Beverly and Norvan Bourland |
|
|
celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on May 15, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bourland were united in matrimony in |
|
|
Nocona in 1943; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling |
|
|
marriage that has been made even richer with the addition of two |
|
|
children, Scott and Page, as well as a grandson, Scott, a |
|
|
granddaughter, Jennifer, and three great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Residents of Midland since 1966, Mr. Bourland |
|
|
retired from Mobil Oil Corporation in 1984, and Mrs. Bourland is a |
|
|
homemaker; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the |
|
|
world during the past 66 years, this devoted husband and wife have |
|
|
remained constant in their commitment to one another, and the |
|
|
strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges |
|
|
and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Beverly and Norvan Bourland on |
|
|
their 66th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bourland as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
