R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned half a |
|
|
century, Pascual and Maria Martinez of Mineola celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on April 11, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Martinez exchanged the vows of |
|
|
matrimony in Chicago on that special day in 1959, and over the |
|
|
course of their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted |
|
|
life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Martinez count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their children, George Martinez and his |
|
|
wife, Alicia, Elizabeth Franco and her husband, John, Cynthia |
|
|
Calzonzi and her husband, James, Gloria Martinez, Regina Martinez, |
|
|
and Christina Everson, and five grandchildren, Leonel Villanueva, |
|
|
Matthew Villanueva, James Calzonzi, Eddie Everson, and Ulysys Gunn, |
|
|
with whom they treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Pascual and |
|
|
Maria Martinez can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and |
|
|
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that |
|
|
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Pascual and Maria Martinez on the |
|
|
occasion of their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Martinez as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
