R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Stella Mae Nash of Houston has long distinguished |
|
herself in her community, and her leadership and generosity of |
|
spirit have earned her the heartfelt admiration of all who know her; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of the Bayou City, this esteemed Texan is |
|
the wife of the Reverend James E. Nash, with whom she has shared |
|
half a century of marriage and raised six children; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through the years, Mrs. Nash has benefited her |
|
fellow citizens in myriad ways, and her volunteerism includes |
|
assisting senior citizens and area youth and serving as a precinct |
|
chair; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Nash has also made a positive difference in her |
|
work with Houston Hope, an organization that builds homes for |
|
individuals in need, and she is a leader in the congregation of St. |
|
Paul Missionary Baptist Church as well; in her free time, she enjoys |
|
doting on her 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and going |
|
saltwater fishing; and |
|
WHEREAS, Those individuals who step forward to share their |
|
time with others are indeed deserving of our profound gratitude, |
|
and it is a pleasure to honor Mrs. Nash, who has enriched the lives |
|
of countless others with her dedicated community service; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Stella Mae Nash for her many good works |
|
and deeds and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, |
|
be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mrs. Nash as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
