R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Ruthie Hatton of Houston has long distinguished |
|
herself through her service to her community, and her leadership |
|
and generosity of spirit have earned her the heartfelt admiration |
|
of all who know her; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Simonton, Mrs. Hatton settled in the |
|
Bayou City in 1967; she married Robert Hatton, Sr., with whom she |
|
raised nine children, and she enjoyed a notable career with |
|
Methodist Hospital until her retirement; and |
|
WHEREAS, Over the years, this esteemed woman has benefited |
|
her fellow Texans by helping individuals in need, and she is |
|
especially known for her selflessness in assisting people with home |
|
upkeep; Mrs. Hatton has also made a positive difference through her |
|
volunteerism with the Brookhaven Civic Club and as a leader in the |
|
congregation of Word of Power International Church; in her free |
|
time, she enjoys taking care of her home and traveling by train so |
|
that she can see the country; and |
|
WHEREAS, Those individuals who step forward to share their |
|
time with others are indeed deserving of our profound gratitude, |
|
and it is a pleasure to honor Mrs. Hatton, who has enriched the |
|
lives of many with her kind and caring ways; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Ruthie Hatton for her significant |
|
contributions to the betterment of her community and extend to her |
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mrs. Hatton as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
