R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Miller and Martha Goodman of Midland celebrated |
|
|
their 65th wedding anniversary on March 18, 2009, and they may |
|
|
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have |
|
|
shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Miller J. Goodman and the former Martha Jean Morris |
|
|
exchanged the vows of matrimony in Abilene in 1944, and over the |
|
|
course of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving |
|
|
life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Residents of Midland for more than half a century, |
|
|
Mr. and Mrs. Goodman count among their blessings a fine family that |
|
|
includes two children, Galen Goodman and Patty Simon, and four |
|
|
grandchildren, with whom they share the many special occasions of |
|
|
life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For 6-1/2 decades, Miller and Martha Goodman have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Miller and Martha Goodman on the |
|
|
occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Goodman as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
