R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Cynthia Carter of Waxahachie has been honored as a |
|
Fort Worth Business Press HealthCare Hero for her outstanding |
|
quality of service and demonstrated commitment to the well-being of |
|
her fellow citizens; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Carter has taught more than 1,000 nurses during |
|
her 34 years as a clinical instructor; in her current position as |
|
director of education at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, she is |
|
responsible for training all nurses, coordinating nursing |
|
orientation, and establishing and directing student affiliation |
|
clinical rotation programs with The University of Texas at |
|
Arlington, Tarrant County College, and Navarro College in Ellis |
|
County; and |
|
WHEREAS, Committed to community outreach, she visits local |
|
schools to inform children about the nursing profession and about |
|
hand hygiene; moreover, she has initiated mentoring programs with |
|
the Mansfield Independent School District and the Ben Barber Career |
|
and Technology Academy health science technology program, which |
|
allows students to observe nurses and physicians at Mansfield |
|
Methodist; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all of her endeavors, Mrs. Carter has been |
|
blessed with the support of a loving family, including her husband, |
|
Jerry, who serves as chaplain for Baylor Medical Center at |
|
Waxahachie, her son, Chris, a critical care nurse for John Peter |
|
Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, and her daughter, Laura, a nuclear |
|
medicine technician at the Methodist Dallas Medical Center; and |
|
WHEREAS, A skilled and caring medical professional, Cynthia |
|
Carter has demonstrated exceptional dedication to her field, and it |
|
is indeed a pleasure to recognize her many outstanding |
|
accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Cynthia Carter on being named a |
|
Fort Worth Business Press HealthCare Hero and extend to her sincere |
|
best wishes for continued success with her important work; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mrs. Carter as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
