R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A loving family and good friends will long cherish |
|
|
their memories of Harold Lloyd Fox, who passed away on January 16, |
|
|
2009, at the age of 87; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born in Waxahachie on January 10, 1922, to Henry |
|
|
Claude and Louise Fox, Mr. Fox enjoyed a lengthy career as a paint |
|
|
contractor, and he was involved in painting most of the |
|
|
"gingerbread" houses in the county; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Fox married Monnie Lea McLemore in 1946, and |
|
|
they shared six decades together before her death in 2007; the |
|
|
couple raised four children, Derrell, Jerry, Debi, and Lloyd, and |
|
|
their family later grew to include 12 grandchildren and 19 |
|
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although he will be sorely missed, those fortunate |
|
|
enough to have known Harold Fox will always remember his dedication |
|
|
to his family and the kindness and generosity with which he lived |
|
|
his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Harold Lloyd Fox and |
|
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his |
|
|
children, Derrell Fox and his wife, Mickey, Jerry Fox and his wife, |
|
|
Marsha, and Debi Yarborough and her husband, Roger; to his 12 |
|
|
grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and to his other |
|
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Harold Fox. |
