R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Pedro Diaz IV has provided indispensable support to |
|
|
the office of State Representative Aaron Peņa during the 81st |
|
|
Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Pete and Linda Diaz, Pedro |
|
|
Diaz was born and raised in Edinburg; he graduated in 2006 from |
|
|
Johnny G. Economedes High School, where he ranked among the top five |
|
|
in his class and served as senior class president; moreover, he was |
|
|
a member of Mu Alpha Theta and the National and Spanish National |
|
|
Honor Societies, and he was nominated for a Wendy's High School |
|
|
Heisman; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Diaz currently studies government and business |
|
|
at The University of Texas at Austin; a founding member of Longhorn |
|
|
Leaders Serving Christ, he participates in a variety of community |
|
|
service activities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By sharing his unique perspective on issues and |
|
|
contributing numerous hours of hard work, Pedro Diaz has helped to |
|
|
ensure that the constituents of House District 40 and the citizens |
|
|
of the Lone Star State are well served, and he is indeed deserving |
|
|
of special recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Pedro Diaz IV for his contributions to |
|
|
the office of State Representative Aaron Peņa and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Diaz as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
