R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Pedro Diaz IV has provided indispensable support to
  the office of State Representative Aaron Peņa during the 81st
  Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Pete and Linda Diaz, Pedro
  Diaz was born and raised in Edinburg; he graduated in 2006 from
  Johnny G. Economedes High School, where he ranked among the top five
  in his class and served as senior class president; moreover, he was
  a member of Mu Alpha Theta and the National and Spanish National
  Honor Societies, and he was nominated for a Wendy's High School
  Heisman; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Diaz currently studies government and business
  at The University of Texas at Austin; a founding member of Longhorn
  Leaders Serving Christ, he participates in a variety of community
  service activities; and
         WHEREAS, By sharing his unique perspective on issues and
  contributing numerous hours of hard work, Pedro Diaz has helped to
  ensure that the constituents of House District 40 and the citizens
  of the Lone Star State are well served, and he is indeed deserving
  of special recognition; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Pedro Diaz IV for his contributions to
  the office of State Representative Aaron Peņa and extend to him
  sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Diaz as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
