R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends of Robert B. Borden of Waxahachie |
|
were deeply saddened by his passing on January 17, 2009, at the age |
|
of 71; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in Tyler on January 5, 1938, Bob Borden was a |
|
1957 graduate of Corsicana High School; he worked with Owens |
|
Corning Fiberglas in Waxahachie, retiring after 32 years of |
|
dedicated service; and |
|
WHEREAS, Following his retirement, he and his wife, Bridgett, |
|
spent 15 happy years enjoying the Texas Gulf Coast area on the |
|
Bolivar Peninsula until they recently moved back to Waxahachie; and |
|
WHEREAS, Bob Borden was held in the highest regard by all who |
|
knew him, and although he will be profoundly missed, he will always |
|
be remembered with great affection and admiration; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Robert B. Borden and |
|
extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife of |
|
30 years, Bridgett Borden; to his children, Robert B. Borden and his |
|
wife, Jessica, Brice Borden and his wife, Maven, Trooper Brandon |
|
Borden and his wife, Katie, and Robert J. Borden; to his |
|
sister-in-law, Brenda Graham, and her husband, Bobby; to his |
|
grandchildren, Brittney, Benjamin, Brent, Brett, Brock, Peyton, |
|
and Robert; to his two great-grandchildren; and to his other |
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Robert B. |
|
Borden. |
