R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Friends and family are mourning the loss of Kitty |
|
Kvale of Ennis, who passed away on April 14, 2009, at the age of 77; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in Orange on July 13, 1931, the former Kitty |
|
Scales was the daughter of Grover and Virgie Mansfield Scales; she |
|
married Edward Kvale in 1949, and the couple enjoyed nearly six |
|
decades of rewarding matrimony; they raised a loving family that |
|
grew to include three children, Kathy, Joey, and John, as well as |
|
six grandchildren, Kenneth, Kendra, Blake, Ashley, Sophia, and |
|
Pierce, and three great-grandchildren; Mrs. Kvale was a member of |
|
the First United Methodist Church of Waxahachie; and |
|
WHEREAS, Kitty Kvale lived a life filled with meaningful |
|
accomplishments, and she leaves her loved ones with many fond |
|
memories of the happy times they spent in her company; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Kitty Kvale and extend |
|
sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband, |
|
Edward Kvale; to her children, Kathy Colvin and her husband, Sam, |
|
Joey Kvale, and John Kvale and his wife, Pamela; to her |
|
grandchildren, Kenneth Scattergood and his wife, Andrea, Kendra |
|
Thomas and her husband, Chris, Blake Kvale and his wife, Theresa, |
|
and Ashley, Sophia, and Pierce Kvale; to her great-grandchildren; |
|
to her mother, Virgie Scales; to her siblings, Wanda Sanders and her |
|
husband, Alvin, Pam Crew and her husband, Walter, and Royce Scales |
|
and his wife, Cherry; and to her other relatives and friends; and, |
|
be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Kitty |
|
Kvale. |
