R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Friends and family are mourning the loss of Cecilia |
|
|
Trujillo Alvarado of Clint, who passed away on May 1, 2009, at the |
|
|
age of 67; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The former Cecilia Trujillo was born on February 23, |
|
|
1942, to Abelardo and Aurora Trujillo; she married Nacho Alvarado |
|
|
in 1962, and the couple shared 46 rewarding years of matrimony, |
|
|
raising a loving family that included two sons, Al and Jaime, and a |
|
|
granddaughter, Taylor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Alvarado worked as a substitute teacher for the |
|
|
Clint Independent School District and served as an elections judge |
|
|
for more than 20 years; known as "Chila" to those closest to her, |
|
|
Mrs. Alvarado believed strongly in traditional family values, and |
|
|
she expressed her deep commitment to her spiritual faith as a member |
|
|
of San Lorenzo Catholic Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Cecilia Alvarado touched the lives of everyone she |
|
|
met, and the image of this devoted wife, mother, and grandmother |
|
|
preparing wonderful meals for her loved ones is among the memories |
|
|
that will forever be treasured by those who held her dear; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Cecilia Trujillo |
|
|
Alvarado and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: |
|
|
to her husband, Nacho Alvarado; to her sons, Nacho "Al" Alvarado, |
|
|
Jr., and Jaime Alvarado; to her granddaughter, Taylor Alvarado; to |
|
|
her siblings, Efren Trujillo, Julie Valenzuela, and Aurora Solis; |
|
|
and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Cecilia |
|
|
Trujillo Alvarado. |
