R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the Phillis Wheatley High School Class of |
|
|
1959 are gathering for a class reunion in August 2009 to celebrate |
|
|
the 50th anniversary of their graduation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This event promises to be a memorable one for all who |
|
|
attend, as old friendships are rekindled, cherished memories are |
|
|
recalled, and the trials and triumphs of the past five decades are |
|
|
shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In the half-century since their high school |
|
|
graduation, the men and women of the Class of '59 have lived full |
|
|
and productive lives, and it is indeed fitting to recognize their |
|
|
myriad achievements as well as their loyalty to their alma mater; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 50th anniversary of the |
|
|
graduation of the Phillis Wheatley High School Class of 1959 and |
|
|
extend to its members sincere best wishes for a successful and |
|
|
enjoyable event; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the class as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
