R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Erbie and Shirley Lewis of Woodway celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on June 28, 2007, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
on that special day in 1957, and over the course of their marriage, |
|
|
they have found in one another a loving life partner; Mr. Lewis is |
|
|
retired from the Waco Fire Department; Mrs. Lewis is a housewife; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This inspiring couple are members of Speegleville |
|
|
Baptist Church and count among their blessings a fine family that |
|
|
includes two children, Glenn and Leslie, as well as two |
|
|
grandchildren, Taylor and Preston, with whom they share the many |
|
|
special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Erbie and Shirley Lewis have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Erbie and Shirley Lewis on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Lewis as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
