R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned half a
  century, Tony and Peggy DuVall of Longview celebrated their 50th
  wedding anniversary on January 17, 2009; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. DuVall exchanged the vows of matrimony
  on that day in 1959, and over the course of their marriage, they
  have found in each other a devoted life partner; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. DuVall worked as a building contractor and real
  estate investor before his retirement; a partner in her husband's
  business, Mrs. DuVall also devoted herself to raising her family
  when her children were young; together they enjoy spending time
  outdoors and participating in an antique car club; and
         WHEREAS, Lifelong residents of Longview, Mr. and Mrs. DuVall
  count among their blessings a fine family that includes their
  children, Judy Harris and her husband, Brett, Kathy Kelley and her
  husband, Dan, and Steve DuVall and his wife, Karen, as well as 11
  grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and
         WHEREAS, Looking back over the past 50 years, Tony and Peggy
  DuVall can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know that
  the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many more
  joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Tony and Peggy DuVall on the
  occasion of their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them
  sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. DuVall as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
